Sunny Days

Phew! It's been a long, hard year but have come out the other side smiling and having more fun than I thought possible! Starting to properly enjoy Sydney now and here are some highlights from the past few weeks..

Aussies love their fancy dress (what they call costume) parties and the theme for this party was uniforms. Best part was being mistaken for a real flight attendant by a cab driver on the way home (seriously)... so of course played along and said I worked for Air Canada! ;)

Next was a trip to the nation's capital (Canberra) to check out the annual flower festival called Floriade. Just amazing! Also visited the incredibly modern Parliament House as well as the Big Ram.... there’s an Aussie fascination with having big animals, things, fruit etc. spread across the country.

Is that a ram?!

I love the races! (Sydney institution every spring to bet on horse races) Really just an excuse to get dolled up and drink champagne in style. Best part is checking out the coolest fascinators (headpieces) and elaborate hats that almost all women wear, so fun! See my crazy fascinator!
